Dubai Fitness Challenge
Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) participated in the latest edition of Dubai Fitness Challenge, an annual fitness initiative by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. Throughout the four-week period, a significant number of employees from various DHCC departments engaged in multiple fitness classes and programmes. The community came together and took part in activities such as Dubai Ride, Dubai Run, padel, cricket, football, basketball competitions, and more.
Additionally, DHCC took this challenge a step further and rolled-out a one-day tournament bringing the community together for fitness activities, reflecting of DHCC’s ongoing commitment to raising awareness about preventive health and enhancing the wellbeing of the wider community.
Dubai Athletic Carnival
In collaboration with the Dubai Police Athletes Council, Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) launched the Athletic Caravan, a mobile sporting event featuring a diverse range of sports and health activities in collaboration with state-level sports authorities. Aligned with Dubai Police's strategic goals, the caravan aimed to establish a healthy and safe sports environment accessible to all members of society.
Held at DHCC Phase 2 promenade and hosting hundreds of sports enthusiasts from UAE clubs and universities, the event provided an ideal platform to participate in the health and wellness section, offering health tips and activations.
Additionally, the initiative pioneered a groundbreaking societal scientific study, evaluating the future of sports in the UAE through scientific criteria—an unprecedented endeavour at the national, Middle Eastern and Arab world levels. The Athletic Caravan exemplified Dubai Police's commitment to fostering a robust and forward-looking sports culture.
