Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) is a diverse group of medical and healthcare therapies and systems that may be separate from or integrated with conventional medical therapies. A common factor shared with all CAM therapies is a holistic and individualistic approach to health and healing, and an appreciation of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of the human being.
