Marwan Abedin, CEO, Dubai Healthcare City

Message from the CEO

Dear colleagues and business partners,

Incredibly proud is how we at Dubai Healthcare City feel.

The Dubai Healthcare City Authority, the legislative and governing body of Dubai Healthcare City, announced the setting up of the Mohammad Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences (MBR-UMHS), and the launch of the Mohammad Bin Rashid University Hospital (MBR-UH).

On the one hand, it is a glory moment, and on the other, and more fundamentally, it is a success story that will be shaped by the hundreds of people who will achieve this goal together for the UAE.

The announcement was referred to as “a new chapter in the successful story of Dubai Healthcare City” by Raja Al Gurg, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Dubai Healthcare City Authority.

This chapter – proverbially speaking, has started writing itself as the university prepares for the first intake of students in September 2015.

Another milestone for DHCC is the introduction of the Appeals Board, part of a broader regulatory framework to instill confidence in our healthcare standards and governance structure.

The lifeblood of any business community is the support of its partners. I am delighted to share the results from our business partner entry survey - 80 percent cite DHCC healthcare community as main reason to establish business.

Buoyed by our growth, we look forward to rolling up our sleeves to improve customer experience at DHCC.

It’s been another glorious quarter.

Best regards,

Marwan Abedin
CEO, Dubai Healthcare City
