CPQ Functions

Licensing

Responsible for 3 core functions: Facility Licensing, which licenses clinical, non-clinical and public health facilities operating in DHCC; Professional Licensing, which licenses healthcare professionals including physicians, dentists, nurses and allied health professionals; and Academic & Research Licensing, which licenses all educational and research activities in DHCC

Healthcare Informatics

Helping DHCC and CPQ to deliver quality healthcare.  It oversees technological innovations within DHCC along with supporting DHCC’s healthcare information systems strategy and activities.  HID’s core focus is on the acquisition, collation, storage and analysis of healthcare statistical data. In addition HID offers medical coding services that include training, support and audits.

Planning & Special Projects

Responsible for developing the plans for clinical services to ensure integrated and balanced healthcare delivery throughout DHCC and for developing Clinical Rules and Regulations that adhere to best international standards.

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Regulatory Support

CPQ is the pioneer in establishing a CAM governance structure which is unique to the region and to the world. CPQ is offering its consultancy service to help CAM regulators and  providers develop the same regulatory framework which will assist health insurance agencies to recognize effective CAM services, facilitate clinical audits and validation, performance management and improvements, as well as research.

Pharmaceutical Services

Responsible for overseeing the pharmacy and pharmaceutical operators in DHCC in order to ensure safe medication management. There are five core functions which cover governance, pharmacy commissioning, pharmacy requirements, product approval and pharmacy education sessions. The focus is on ensuring international standards in policy and practice for pharmaceutical services to be licensed in DHCC. 

Facility Design and Engineering Services

Ensures the design of healthcare facilities comply with international standards in order to deliver high-quality care and patient safety. Healthcare operators must meet strict regulatory standards in the design of their facility and obtain the appropriate accreditation. CPQ can help facilities develop the necessary standards in design to secure accreditation. Minimum design standards employed include the American Institute of Architects and associated codes, (e.g. NFPA, ASHRAE, etc), NHS Estates UK, and DHA (Dubai) Design Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities.
