Primary Source Verification (PSV)
CPQ has drawn on global best practice to establish an efficient and cost-effective in-house system for verification of credentials at the primary source level with the ultimate aim of ensuring quality healthcare and patient safety. CPQ has a proven track record of a successful and effective PSV system through maintaining a comprehensive database of various academic and regulatory bodies in the world. To date, CPQ has successfully undertaken the full PSV process for over 1700 healthcare professionals. Furthermore, CPQ has successfully undertaken measures to overcome language barriers to ensure an effective network of communication with various entities across the globe. This has successfully contributed to the establishment of productive collaboration with these institutions and a streamlined and timely process of verification.
Health Informatics
CPQ has led the development of the Healthcare Information and Reporting Analysis System (HIRAS) in Dubai Healthcare City. This is an innovative IT solution, which allows data collection from disparate healthcare sources in a standardised manner. The technology enables the integration, storage, reporting and analysis of patient data across multiple facilities. In 2009, over 230,000 patient visits were reported to CPQ using HIRAS. Data collected is then used for a number of initiatives including compliance, quality improvement and business process improvements.
The HIRAS system has received the Arab Health new healthcare technology award and CPQ has worked with healthcare authorities to help develop data collection processes, clinical coding competency and IT system capabilities. CPQ can assist healthcare organizations and providers with evaluation and needs assessment; strategic planning; workflow re-engineering; HIS evaluation, selection, development and implementation with the chief objective of improving quality, efficiency and outcomes. In addition, CPQ also offers a host of training programs including medical records management and clinical coding consulting/training.
