Dubai Healthcare City Newsletter Issue 8

Message from the CEO

Dear colleagues and business partners,

Birthdays provide an apt opportunity for reflection, and for celebration.

On November 5, 2014 Dubai Healthcare City turned 12. It was an opportune moment to weigh in on the challenges of the past year and take the valuable lessons we learnt into the next.

It was a befitting occasion to take pride in our achievements.

The year 2014 will historically be one of the most dynamic going by the sheer momentum of progress with pinnacle announcements being the setting up of the Mohammad Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences and the Mohammad Bin Rashid University Hospital.

The success of the past year is the direct result of your exceptional efforts.

The outlook for the healthcare sector in the region will be shaped by a far broader set of factors than ever before. We will see more innovation in healthcare delivery, focus on prevention, policy changes, and wearable technology closer to mainstream.

As we race into 2015, we might lose sight of our vision. So let’s remind ourselves that Dubai Healthcare City will become an internationally recognized location of choice for quality healthcare and an integrated center of excellence for clinical and wellness services, medical education and research.

Let’s build on our foundation. Let’s continue to take DHCC forward to a very, very bright future with great energy and even greater commitment.

Welcome to 2015.

Warm regards,

Marwan Abedin
CEO, Dubai Healthcare City
