Partners Harvard Medical International and DHCC have jointly established the Center for Healthcare Planning and Quality (CPQ), as a regulatory body implementing rigorous quality clinical standards to ensure patient safety and quality patient care. CPQ also plays a major role in planning to ensure an appropriate balance between clinical services within DHCC in order to meet patient needs, demands, and expectations.
CPQ's aim is to become a regular center for clinical regulation and accreditation through creating an environment of care that ensures quality patient care and safety, in line with international best practices via development of:
- Licensing of healthcare professionals and facilities.
- Quality standards for healthcare practice.
- Assessment of clinical practice as a tool for quality improvement.
- Rules and regulations governing clinical practice.
- Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) regulations.
- Public Health and Health Safety rules and regulations governing non-clinical facilities.
- Health, Safety, and Environment standards.
- Patient care and patient safety initiatives to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Planning healthcare activities in DHCC to create an integrated health network.
- Health Information Reporting and Analysis System (HIRAS).
- Guidelines for healthcare facility design review and fit-out.
- Customer Protection Unit ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
